Our Dream..

Is to consecrate our Church, but to do that we must be debt free.

·	This is the right time to tackle the overdraft; there is a great atmosphere here and a real sense of being a Parish Family. There are no major works to undertake that we know of, so we can now concentrate on raising the money to pay off the overdraft.

There are a number of ways of raising money: We have an existing “500 Club” - it’s like a tote or lottery. For £5 a month you receive five numbers and there are three prizes ranging from around £300.00 to £25.00. The parish receives 50% of the takings and the odds of winning are good. If you are not already a member why not consider joining - organisers are available in the porch before and after Masses most weekends.

·	There’s also a fun side of giving. For the past 12 months there has been a small but very active Social Committee. To date they have organised quizzes, celebration dances, barbecue, sponsored walk..and there are some great things lined up for the rest of the year

We are all familiar with the weekly offertory. At the moment about £500 of this each week is non Gift Aid contributions and if half of this, say £250, is being donated by tax payers, because it is not Gift Aided the parish is losing out on about £3,500 a year! Click on the Gift Aid button at the top of the page for further details and contact us if you would like to gift aid future contributions.

There will also be a collection every month throughout the year and envelopes will be available the week before each collection. If every adult can manage to give £3 a month we will have paid off the overdraft in 6 years. To allow us all to see the results of our efforts there will be a display at the back of church that shows the amount of money that has been collected each month and the quarterly bank balance will be published so we can see how quickly the overdraft is being reduced.
